Scholars in the NEWS •The following local residents have completed requirements for graduation in December 2007 from the State University of New York at Oneonta: From Lindenhurst are Matthew Thomas Domanico and Keri-Danielle Solich and from West Islip are Michael Steven Knapp and Stephen Gerard Murn. •Tyler T. Schloen, of Babylon, a freshman majoring in general engineering in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester. •Michael Colletti, of Babylon Village, a senior at Siena College in Loudonville, New York, has been named ot the president's list for the fall 2007 semester with a GPA of 4.0. He has also been awarded the Siena Presidential Scholarship and the Siena Grant. Colletti, a finance major, has just completed his internship at Merrill Lynch. He is the son of Karin and Darryl Colletti of Babylon Village. •Named to the dean's list at Bryant University, Smithfield, Rhode Island, are the following West Islip residents: Michael T. Novellano, a senior majoring in finance; Stephanie Pavone, a junior majoring marketing and Jessica L. Komoroski, a freshman majoring in actuarial mathematics. •Sydney White, of West Islip, a first-year anthropology major in the College of Arts and Sciences, was named to the dean's list at the University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont, for the fall 2007 semester. •Ashley Chmela, of Lindenhurst, a student in the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University, Providence, Rhode Island, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester.
•Philip Ryder, of Lindenhurst, a fourth-year student majoring in athletic training, was named to the dean's list at Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts, for the fall 2007 semester.
