Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center children's fun week

Children's Fun Week is being held at Jones Beach Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center.

Giants of the Sea will be presented Wed., Feb. 20, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Explore the lives of whales, dolphins and porpoises through activities, games and crafts. Sea Otters in the Kelp Forest will be held, Thurs., Feb. 21, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Explore the undersea forest to discover unique plants and animals that share habitat with sea otters. Manatees Not Mermaids is on Fri. Feb. 22, 1:30 to 3 p.m. Discover these gentle animals that live in warm waters of the south.

For the future, Leprechaun's Rainbow will be presented, Sat. March 29, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Explore the many ways light bounces, bends, reflects and refracts.

Advanced reservations are required and may be made by calling 516-679- 7254. There will be a fee of $3 per person and children under three are free.
