Host a duck for the 2008 season

The Long Island Ducks, members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, are currently seeking members of the community that are interested in becoming host families for a Ducks player during the 2008 season. Those interested should contact Gerry Anderson, business manager, at (631) 940-3825, extension 114, or send an email to ganderson@liducks.com.

"Hosting a player is a rare and gratifying opportunity for fans to get involved with the club on a very personal level," says Ducks general manager Michael Pfaff. "Ducks players often become another member of the family during their stay on Long Island, and we appreciate the generosity of our fans who literally open their doors to our team. Year in and year out, hosting a player has been a positive experience for everyone involved."

To become a host family, all that is needed is a private bedroom, use of a bathroom, washer/ dryer and kitchen. Any other amenities that host families can provide are always greatly appreciated by the players.

The Long Island Ducks play their home games at Citibank Park, and are entering their ninth season in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Season ticket packages for 2008 are currently available. For further information, visit www.liducks.com , or call (631) 940-3825.
