Scholars in the NEWS •Named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, South Carolina are the following local residents: Kelly L. Moody of Bay Shore and Alexandra Aita of Islip •Omodolapo Familusi, of Central Islip, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 at The State University of New York college at Plattsburgh. •The following local residents are candidates for graduation at Nassau Community College, Garden City: From Bay Shore are Justin T. Benedetti, Andrea M. Ciano, Marc D. Leonard, Tiffany C. Nix, Karla P. Perez and Amber M. Sohn and from Islip are Christian M. Harris and Danielle N. Santiago. •Named to the dean' s list at Nassau Community College for the fall 2007 semester are the following local residents: from Bay Shore are Justin T. Benedetti, Darline L. Bui, Chris R. Carrick, John P. Cummings, Angelyse C. Kenngott, Marc D. Leonard, Jessica C. Lumley, Patricia G. McCabe, Karla Perez and Amber M. Sohn; from Islip is Christoph D. Wade and from East Islip is Lisa M. Venuti. •Alanna Holborn, of Islip Terrace, was named to the President's list at the State University of Cortland for the fall 2007 semester. •Kayla Kenda, a freshman childhood education major from Bay Shore, received the OAP Award for study in Cuernavaca, Mexico for the winter of 2008. She is a student at the State University of New York at Cortland. •The following local residents completed their requirements for graduation in the fall 2007 semester at The State University of New York College at Oneonta: Ryan Matthew LaBarbera of Islip, Marc John Giangregorio of East Islip and William Joseph Alsen of Oakdale.
