Ascension Lutheran Church in Deer Park to assist Hurricane Katrina victims
Ascension Lutheran Church in Deer Park will send eight youths and five adult advisors to New Orleans during February's Presidential break, to help rebuild housing for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Ascension's team will work with a team from Trinity Lutheran church, Rocky Point. To help fund Ascension's youth mission to New Orleans, the Youth Mission Team at Ascension is hosting a congregational pre Super Bowl dinner on Sun. Feb. 3, 4 p.m. A donation of $5 is suggested. All proceeds will assist Ascension's youth mission to New Orleans. All are invited to attend the dinner.
