Police Canine Unit visit's W. Babylon's Forest Avenue Elementary

Forest Avenue Elementary School invited the Suffolk County Police Department Canine Section to come to the school to give a demonstration and explanation of how the K-9 section operates. P.O. Robert Fanwick with his dog Badge, P.O. William Kroliewicz with his dog Bema and P.O. Thomas Teufel with his dog Chief were able to show the children their dogs and how they responded to their commands that were given in German. All the students were impressed on how well the dogs were trained and enjoyed the demonstration the Police Officers presented.

For three of the students, Megan Curley, and Devin and Jackie Teufel, it was extra special because P.O. Thomas Teufel is their uncle. Officer Teufel graduated from Forest Avenue School in 1981.

Shown, left to right, are P.O. William Krolikiewicz, P.O. Thomas Teufel with his dog Chief,Principal of Forest Avenue School Christine Tona and P.O. Robert Fanwick.
