Bay Shore teacher awarded Educator of Excellence in English

Bay Shore's Gardiner Manor teacher Donna Clifford was awarded the 2007 Educator of Excellence in English at the New York State English Councils 57th Annual Conference on November 15, 2007. As the Literacy Collaborative Coordinator for the past six years, Clifford has provided teachers and students with a plethora of information and support. She is always eager to model lessons and work with students throughout the building. An impressive bookroom has been created and is maintained by Ms. Clifford and her team.

Her diligence and enthusiasm in language arts has greatly benefitted Gardiner Manor School, said school officials. Most importantly, she has inspired the students to acquire a lifelong love of reading and learning.
