Student financial aid information available

Assemblyman Bob Sweeney has announced that the New York higher education community provides statewide support to students and families on how to apply and how to pay for college. There are many sources of financial aid assistance available to help cover the costs of a college education.

Several free publications are available, including a Financial Aid Chart that describes a number of student financial aid programs. Also available is information on the financial aid application process, which includes important phone numbers and web sites.

These publications are available by calling Assemblyman Sweeney's office at 631-957-2087.

Questions about financial aid can also be directed to the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) by calling them tollfree at 1-888-697-4372 or through their website at www.hesc.org.
