Fathers of Forest Avenue Elementary students visit classes

Forest Avenue Elementary School in West Babylon recently invited the students' fathers to come to the school and speak to their children's classes about their professions.

First grader Jesse Nettuno's dad spoke to the class about astronomy and explained to them why the seasons change. Courtney Shannon's dad is a fireman and he came to Forest Avenue in his gear to teach fire safety to kindergartners and first graders. Megan Curley's father is a detective with the police department. He spoke to her third-grade classmates to explain his role in solving crimes.

Shown in the photo are teacher Jane Johnston, student Dean Fedoryk and Jesse Nettuno with his father Mr. Nettuno.
