Lindenhurst School District appoints new Assistant Superintendent for Business
She started her career in the South Huntington School district as a senior programmer analyst in the business office. She also served the district as a data processing supervisor and the deputy school district treasurer also. She worked in the Lindenhurst School District for two years as the deputy school district treasurer. Most recently, Scrio was the assistant business administrator and finance manager for the Half Hollow Hills School district. She has been exposed to every aspect of the business office and looks forward to bringing her knowledge and hands on approach to the Lindenhurst Schools. "I am excited to have the opportunity to return to Lindenhurst Public schools," said Scrio. "I feel very much at home with the district and look forward to a rewarding and productive future as the Assistant Superintendent of Business." Scrio recently received her school business administrator certification. She has completed her MBA in Public Adm inistra- tion from Dowling College and her bachelor of arts in acc ounting, also from Dowling College. Prior to working in education, Scrio worked for eight years in the banking industry.
She lives in Great River, with her husband Sal. She has two daughters, Kimberly and Nicole.
