Police seek public's help in solving arson case

Police are asking for the public's help in apprehending two people who are responsible for an attempted arson of a business in Lindenhurst.

On Oct. 18, 2007, two subjects broke the front window at Progressive Tattoo, 123 East Rte. 27, Lindenhurst, threw a bottle of gasoline inside and attempted to ignite it with a road flare.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential and the caller will be eligible for a cash reward up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Subjects are shown in the act of committing the crime in a surveillance photo recently made available.
