Three break into DP home and assault resident; police seek public's help

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Deer Park home Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Christian Younger, 32, was in his first floor apartment at 373 W.18th Street, Deer Park, when two unknown men entered at 3 p.m. The two men assaulted Younger, and he was punched in the face numerous times. Later , a third man entered Younger's apartment as well.

The room was ransacked. Younger's cell phone was taken, and police are looking into what other items were taken. Younger was treated for facial lacerations at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

The first suspect to enter the apartment is described as a black male, between 20-25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a heavy build. He has short black hair, with a flat top. The second suspect to enter the apartment is described as a black male, and is about 6 feet tall.

Police are asking anyone with any information to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
