      Longtime Massapequa resident and Babylon Rotary member Peter C. Schleifer died December 23, 2007 at his home from cancer. He was 70 years old. He was born March 10, 1937 in Budapest, Hungary to Miklos and Elisabeth (nee Redei), he came to America on his own in 1958.

      Big hearted Jack Gallo will be remembered as always helping others. The longtime West Islip resident died December 29, 2007 at the age of 74. As a teacher, he worked miracles with troubled students and as a volunteer he helped needy families.
