Village of Babylon offices will be closed and there will be no garbage, rubbish or recycling pick-up on Thurs., Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday and also on Thurs, .Jan 1, 2009 in observance of the New Year's holiday.

Since the Christmas and New Year's holidays are celebrated on two Thursdays in a row, there will be a special rubbish pick up on Fri., Dec. 26, for residents who normally have Thursday pick up. This is for rubbish only (not leaves, grass clippings, newspapers or recycling).

Sanitation Calendars will be mailed to all residents at the end of December. Save these calendars to be used throughout the year 2009 for your backdoor garbage pick-up schedule.
