S.C. Leg. Steve Stern (D-Huntington) 16th LD, Chairman of the Veterans and Seniors Committee, hosted an Armed Forces Day party for the children of servicemen and women of the "Fighting 69th" serving in Afghanistan. The legendary "Fighting 69th" Army National Guard Unit was deployed in January. The party, held at the NY Party Zone in Farmingdale, was attended by more than 25 children and their families and featured inflatable rides, a live DJ, dancing, food and fun for everyone.

Babylon Family Readiness Group (FRG) President Beth Delli-Pizzi and Councilwoman Lt. Colonel Jacqueline Gordon also attended the party.
