O'Connell Copiague High School, signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of South Carolina. Walker received a full scholarship to attend USC and play basketball for its women's team.

"I'm excited," said Walker. "USC has a great coaching staff and I look forward to working with Head Coach Dawn Staley and the rest of the staff."

Walker has been a member of the Copiague Girls varsity basketball team for the last five years, beginning in seventh grade. Last year at her position of point guard, she averaged 19.4 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 5.1 steals. She was recently named MVP of the 2008 Metro Classic "Boros vs. Burbs" All-Star Game, and according to espn.com, Walker is the No. 70 prospect in their HoopGurlz Hundred for 2009.

Over the last five varsity seasons, Ieasia has demonstrated tremendous improvement in her game," stated Copiague girls' varsity vasketball Coach Carol Olsen. "She presently has accrued 1528 career points at Copiague and has led our team to three league championships and two Suffolk County semifinal appearances. I, along with Coach Garcia and Coach Ferreti, wish Ieasia the best of luck as she pursues her collegiate career."
