LOT'S HAPPENING IN THE VILLAGE. The beautiful Old Town Hall building on Main Street is undergoing renovations. Talked to Babylon Town Councilman Lindsay Henry. The building has lots of history for Lindsay - his great grandmother E.E. Henry had the ground floor office on the northeast corner and he listened to many stories from his father and grandfather of events and tenants who occupied the space. Now the windows are undergoing extensive repairs both outside and inside - the window sills and frames are being painted and also the lovely old cupola on the top. "We want to attract even more tenants in the future," the Councilman said. "The building is going to be beautiful when it's completed." Current occupants include the Babylon I.D.A. as well as other local organizations.

THE LARGEST CROWD IN YEARS. This year's Veteran's Day parade sponsored by Post 94 tops the list for local crowds lining the streets and cheering the marchers on. It was a glorious day, with the sun shining, perfect for honoring our veterans. Our Mayor Ralph Scordino led off with Trustees Alice Vanderveldt, Debbie Basile, Kevin Muldowny and Tony Davida. Of course the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts and very important, The Babylon High School Bands were all in the line of march. The ceremonies were held by the Legion Hall and the speakers included Councilman Lindsay Henry, Mayor Ralph Scordino, Sen. Owen Johnson and Leg. Wayne Horsley.
