The Suffolk County Parks Department will host the annual Big Duck Holiday Lighting Ceremony on Wed., Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. This year's festivities will include a duck carol sing-a-long, and the arrival of special guest Santa Claus courtesy of the Flanders Fire Department.

"The lighting of the Big Duck has become a tradition in Suffolk," said S. C. Exec. Steve Levy." For many residents, this event serves as a kick-off celebration for the holiday season."

The BIG DUCK Store will be open for the evening, so you can pick-up some "eggstra-special" holiday gifts.

The BIG DUCK is situated in its new nest on Route 24 in Flanders, one mile east of the Riverhead Traffic Circle. Parking will be available at the Flanders Men's Club. For further information, call (631) 854-0989.
