The Historical Society of Islip Hamlet announced that its 15th annual Holiday House Tour will be held Sun. Dec. 7, noon to 4 p.m.

The Holiday House Tour had become a tradition in Islip. Once again there will be six homes decorated for the holidays as well as tour guides dressed in period clothing. The United Methodist Church of Islip will be featured on this year's tour and serve as the reception area as well. Live entertainment will be provided by Twin County Chorus of Sweet Adelines International singing traditional holiday songs. There will be a Chinese auction with gifts donated by merchants and members.

Tickets can be purchased in advance, in person by visiting Nook and Cranny Collectibles and Gifts, 3 Grant Ave., Islip or by writing to the Society at P.O. Box 601, Islip, NY 11751. To purchase tickets on the day of the event, register at Islip Town Hall, 655 Main St., Islip between noon and 2:30 p.m. Tickets are a $20 donation per adult, age 16 and older in advance or $25 per adult the day of the event. All tickets are nonrefundable and the tour will proceed despite weather conditions.

All proceeds from this year's annual Holiday House Tour will go toward the Society's scholarship fund and enable them to help with school programs and field trips that are of a historic nature for the students to enjoy.
