On Wed., Dec. 3, 7 p.m. , the Babylon Green Party gathering will host its annual Green Party holiday party with an acoustic performance by Easy Anthems. The duo consists of Vanesa Alvero Jimenez (vocals, paintings and drawings) and Philip A. Jimenez (vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, upright and electric bass, cittern, banjo ukulele, five string Banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, raga zeetar, piano, organs, percussion, kalimba, accordion, harmonica, omni chord).

Babylon Green Party gatherings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. The Jan. 7, 2009 gathering will feature Kirby Einhorn of LI Wins on the necessity of immigrants to the LI economy. The Feb. 4, 2008 gathering will feature a reading from 2007 Poet Laureate of the Blogosphere Amy King, www.amyking.org.

The Green Party is an alternative party to the Democrats and Republicans. The four pillars of the Green Party are: Nonviolence/Peace; Grassroots Democracy; Social and Economic Justice; and Ecological Wisdom.
