Babylon Village Arts Council to sponsor Open House Art Exhibit

Babylon Village Arts Council will be sponsoring an open house art exhibit and sale Sat., Nov. 22, 2 to 7 p.m. at the Normans home at 28 Roosevelt St., Babylon Village. The show will feature many local artists who will be donating 25 percent of their proceeds to the Babylon Village Arts Council in support for local art programs.

Watercolorist Kathy Herzy and Bill Kuchler will be displaying their wonderful works depicting the local community. Ellen Nicholls will exhibit her abstract oils and Maureen Price will be showcasing her landscapes in oils. Edward Lee, collagist, will show his unusual images of Babylon Village through this technique. Lonna Sullivan, Monica Freiderich and Rose Norman, local photographers, will exhibit images of Babylon Village through the use of digital photography. Jessica Mullilgan, local jewelry designer, uses wire and stone to create interesting pieces while Robin Robert, will show pieces in gold and silver. Joe Scinto, local sculptor, will be showcasing his glazed checker set, something not be be missed.

Art, an unusual gift idea, may bring back memories of Babylon Village to those whom have moved away and would like a little bit of Babylon in their lives. Come by and stay awhile or a bit.
