Councilmen Flotteron and Edwards attend Islip Breast Cancer Coalition dinner
Islip Town Councilman Steve Flotteron, left, and Councilman John Edwards, right, recently attended the Islip Breast Cancer Coalition awards dinner. Rachel DeMolfetto, center, left, and Cynthia Sansone, center, right), owners of Racine Salon de Beaute & Spa, were honored for donating their time and skills to address the needs of their neighbors diagnosed with breast cancer. Following the tragic loss of their beloved mother to breast cancer, sisters Rachel and Cynthia opened the Mildred DeMolfetto Pavilion for Holistic Beauty Care in 2003.
One day each month, breast cancer patients are offered, free of charge, beauty treatments for both body and spirit. Rachel and Cynthia have provided care and comfort to more than 700 breast cancer patients. Councilman Flotteron and Councilman Edwards presented the sisters with official Town of Islip Citations recognizing their work.
