Last year the Babylon Village Women's Club (BVWC) donated funds to VIBS, Babylon Village Education Fund, Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition, Babylon Village Youth Project, BVWC Scholarship Fund, Pilot Club, Madonna Heights, and many others. This year, the BVWC holds its 18th annual BVWC Holiday Auction on Friday, November 21st, 2008, at the Venetian Yacht Club in Babylon, and everybody is invited. The Babylon Village Women's Club is a prominent community organization with over 200 members. The membership is a diverse group of Village residents, employees and merchants of all ages, religions, and ethnicity. The Club has a strong philanthropic purpose. Fundraising efforts have allowed the endowment of an annual scholarship for a woman in the community returning to school.
