Babylon Green Party gatherings first Wednesday of every month
On Wed. Nov. 5, 7 p.m., the Babylon Green Party Gathering will host Professor Karl Grossman for a post-election talk on Media Reform. All gatherings are free of charge, and open to the public.
Grossman has specialized in investigative reporting in print, radio and television for more than 40 years. He is also a professor of journalism at the State University of New York/College at Old Westbury where his courses include Investigative Reporting. Grossman is the author of six books.
Babylon Green Party gatherings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. The Dec. 3 gathering will be the annual Green Party holiday party with an acoustic performance by Easy Anthems. The Jan. 7, 2009 gathering will feature Kirby Einhorn of LI Wins on the necessity of immigrants to the LI economy. The Feb. 4, gathering will feature a poetry reading from Nassau Community College Professor Amy King.
The Green Party is an alternative party to the Democrats and Republicans. The four pillars of the Green Party are: Nonviolence/Peace; Grassroots Democracy; Social and Economic Justice; and Ecological Wisdom.
