Louise Combs, West Babylon Octagenarian

West Babylon resident, Louise C. Combs died September 23, 2008 at the Berkshire Nursing Home. She was 100 years old. She attributed her longevity to her "strong New England backround," according to her family.

Born in New Hampshire, she spent many years in East Quogue before moving to Little East Neck Road in West Babylon where she lived for eight years. For the last 14 years, she lived in the Berkshire Nursing Home, also in West Babylon.

In additon to being a dedicated homemaker, mother and wife, she was a practical nurse who cared for cancer patients in their homes all over Suffolk County.

Mrs. Combs leaves behind her sons, Stanley of West Babylon and Roger of Florida; her daughtersin laws, Audrey and Ruth, and her grandduaghter, Patricia Quinto. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence in 1985.

She reposed at the Noce Funeral Home, West Babylon, on Sept. 24, 2008. Interment in Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale, on Sept. 25, 2008.
