Retired Babylon High School principal, John Stack
      Longtime Babylon High School teacher and principal John A. Stack died September 28, 2008 in Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport after complications from a fall. He was 89. After graduating from Notre Dame University, he joined the Army Air Corps and pi loted B17 bombers during World War II.

Louise Combs, West Babylon Octagenarian
      West Babylon resident, Louise C. Combs died September 23, 2008 at the Berkshire Nursing Home. She was 100 years old. She attributed her longevity to her "strong New England backround," according to her family. Born in New Hampshire, she spent many years in East Quogue before moving to Little East Neck Road in West Babylon where she lived for eight years.

MaryJane Curran, 15 year Bay Shore resident
      Bay Shore resident and loving mother MaryJane Curran died Sept. 25, 2008. She was 64 years old. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Farmingdale, she lived in Brentwood for many years before moving to Pinewood Place in Bay Shore. She lived there for 15 years. She worked at various law offices as a secretary and retired in 2006.
