Shown in the photo, social worker Jim McGowan congratulates Warner Quiroga on his award. Bay Shore High School senior Alberto Warner Quiroga was recently honored by the Suffolk County Youth Bureau. The Youth Achievement Awards recognize students who have overcome significant obstacles in their lives. Not only was Quiroga able to successfully deal with his challenges, but by his behavior he demonstrates how one can set an example for other youths facing similar issues. Quiroga has a positive influence on other fellow students, demonstrating the quality of his character and the strength of his resolve.
