The 50th annual Larry Troiano Memorial Steak Fry sponsored by the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club, raised thousands of dollars for scholarships for Lindenhurst High School students. Over 1000 people attended this year's event held at Fireman's Memorial Park in August.

Eight students received $16,000 this year in scholarship awards from the Kiwanis Club of Lindenhurst. They have awarded over $324,000 through the years. "This year's "golden" celebra- tion was a success," exclaimed Jo-Ann Boettcher, chairperson of the Steak Fry Event Committee and President of the Kiwanis Club.
