Four arrested for break-in to home in North Amityville

Suffolk County Police arrested four men Wednesday after a burglary at an occupied home in North Amityville early this morning. Police gave this account:

Two armed men entered a home at 45 North Ronald Dr. at 4:25 a.m., and demanded money from the four

occupant s . One resident, Anthony Blackmon, was assaulted by one of the men. The suspects fled in a white van. Blackm on and his brother, Hassan, foll owed the van into Nassau County. A Nassau County police officer in a marked

patrol car noticed the van and initiated a traffic stop at Route 107 and Briarwood Drive, North Massapequa. Three men were arrested and one fled on foot; he was arrested by a Nassau County Canine officer a short time later. The men were in possession of the weapons used and proceeds from the burglary.

Arrested and charged with burglary, 1st degree and criminal use of a firearm, 1st degree were: Lamar Antoine, 22, of 3215 Avenue H, Brooklyn; Gregory Ramell, 23, of 2054 Nostrand Ave., Brooklyn Michael Nelson, 22, of 1005 East 42nd St., Brooklyn and Nidamark King, 35, of 650 New Jersey Ave., Brooklyn.

King was also charged with assault 2nd degree.

Anthony Blackmon was treated and released for a head injury at Nassau University Medical Center.

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives received assistance from the Nassau County Police Department and the New York State Troopers in this investigation. The men were held overnight at the First Precinct for arraignment on Sept. 25 at First District Court in Central Islip.
