Evelyn Gerlett, president of the West Islip American Legion Auxiliary recently presented Trudy Walsh of West Islip with a Blue Star Banner Flag in honor of her grandson who was recently deployed for a second term to Iraq. The flag is hung in the window of families who have a member serving overseas in the Armed Forces.
