      Longtime Amity Harbor and Lindenhurst resident Lois E. Huggler died September 1, 2008. She was 94 years old. Born in East Brady, Pennsylvania, she moved to Amity Harbor after marrying William J. and lived on Wilson Avenue for about 60 years.

Local visitation to be held for Ed Coffin, Lindenhurst resident, coach & teacher

      A funeral and mass will be held locally to honor former longtime Amityville resident and Copiague teacher and coach Edward T. Coffin who died on August 30, 2008 at his home in Port St. Lucie West, Florida. He was 76. Born in Brooklyn on December 20, 1931, he lived in New Jersey be- fore moving to Amityville in 1943.
