DP firefighter named Grand Marshal of anniversary parade

On Sat., Sept. 20, the Deer Park Fire Department will be holding its 75th Anniversary Parade.  The Grand Marshal for this event is John W. Lee.  John is one of the oldest surving members of the Department and has served in many capacities within the Department including Chief and he also served on the Board of Fire Commissioners.  John joined the Department in 1955 and is still a very involved member of this Department.  The parade commences at 5 p.m. from Grand Boulevard and West 23rd Street to Deer Park Avenue, north to Lake Avenue, and then eastbound on Lake Avenue to the firehouse.
