Rebecca Rubin, of Babylon, recently received a scholarship from the Grand Lodge and Trustees of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York and is shown accepting the scholarship from Vincent Libone, Deputy Grand Master, on the left and David F. Stoy, trustee. In the New York Masonic Education Assistance Program, qualifying children, grandchildren and widows of Masons are eligible to receive assistance. This year, the Grand Lodge and Trustees provided 674 scholarships, amounting to some half million dollars to worthy students. Grants totaling more than seven million dollars have been awarded to more than 8,000 students since the program began 12 years ago.
