Mark Reilly, age 13, the son of Michael and Mary Reilly of Babylon Village, came in first place in the U.S. Kids Golf Teen World Championship held at Pinehurst, North Carolina, July 24 to 26.

Reilly played in the 13 year-old age group in a field of 86 players from all parts of the world and the United States. He was the only player to shoot under par all three rounds with scores of 71, 71 and 68 for a one-stroke victory. He made a 12-foot putt on the final for par to secure the win. He was also the only player to carry his own golf bag for 54 holes.

Reilly also qualified for the Metropolitan Golf Association's Carter Cup Junior Stroke Championship held at Baltusrol CC, New Jersey on Aug. 6, the youngest player.

Reilly will be entering the eighth grade at West Babylon Junior High and plays on the varsity golf team.
