James McGuire, longtime Babylon F.D. member
      Longtime Babylon resident and 48-year fire department member James Alexander McGuire died July 2, 2008 of complications of kidney cancer. He was 78 and had lived in Babylon for 55 years. He was born in Southampton Hospital on September 16, 1929 to Edward F. and Nora (nee Durkan) and later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mary Ridulfo, 69 year Lindenhurst resident
      Loving mother, grandmother and wife, Mary Ridulfo, died after a short illness on July 15, 2008 surrounded by her family. She was a longtime Lindenhurst resident and 78-years-old. "My mom's life was her family," said her daughter, Marie. "She was happiest when she was with us...she just loved to take care of us." She also loved to garden and and was an avid reader.

George M. Egan, longtime Babylon resident
      George M. Egan, a resident of Babylon for 54 years has traveled around the world since he retired 13 years ago, died July 16, 2008. He was 76. He took many cruises, traveling to China, Africa and Australia. "The only place he didn't go to was Bermuda," said his wife Eylene, who plans to travel to Bermuda this year in memory of her husband.

Patricia Tuck, longtime Babylon FISH volunteer
      Longtime West Islip resident and loving family matriarch Patricia Weiss Tuck died July 12, 2008. She was 75 and lived on Fire Island Avenue for about 40 years. Born in Mineola, she lived in Bay Shore before moving to West Islip.
