LMS students donate handmade bracelet money to Multiple Sclerosis
Shown in the photo, left to right, are Lindenhurst Middle School students Megan McCloud, Deepa Suchdeve, Ashley Copertino, Nick Deciutiis with eighth grade teacher Patricia Wigand selling handmade Lindy Pride bracelets to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. Eight h grade students have been busy making beaded bracelets to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. They raised over $700 selling handmade
bead bracelets during lunch periods. Eighth grade teacher Patricia Wigand stumbled upon green and white beads at the Materials Resource Center in Holbrook. She bought some elastic and starting making green and white Lindy Pride bracelets. Students watched her and asked if they could make some. Before long, green and white beaded bracelets filled a big bag.
There were a few discussions about various charities to donate to, but when one student said his mother has Multiple Sclerosis, it was decided to send their donation to benefit people that suffer from that disease.
