Bay Shore Tricentennial coming Sept. 6th

The Bay Shore Tricentennial Harbor Festival and Parade of Boats will be held Sat., Sept. 6, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bay Shore Marina. Admission is free. The rain date will be Sun., Sept.7.

This birthday celebration will feature live musical entertainment, street performers, Great South Bay YMCA Kid zone with rock walls, old-fashioned games, moon walks, food, flyover by vintage biplanes from Bayport Aerodrome and a flotilla of boats from up and down the south shore.

The Tricentennial Parade and Parade of Boats will begin at 11:30 a.m. with an opening procession by racers participating in the South Bay Cruising Club's Smith Distance Invitational Race, followed by the start of the race. The start of the Invitational will be announced by Bay Shore's own America's Cup sailor, Matt Welling.
