Village of Babylon Historical and preservation society
      The Babylon Village Historical Society Museum, located at 117 E. Main Street, will be open the day of the Country Fair, Sun., Sept. 7, from noon to 4 p.m. The museum is directly along the street of the fair. Visit the museum to view artifacts and learn about yesteryear in Babylon Village. Raffles for the handmade quilt will also be on sale. All visitors are welcome.

Nick Montalbano to represent USA in Junior Olympics
      Nick Montalbano, age 16, of West Islip, recently competed at the 2008 USA Racquetball Junior Olympic Championships on June 24 to 29 at the Big C Athletic Club in Concord, California. Montalbano has been appointed to the U.S.

A day on Babylon's Green
     On June 16, the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce held its annual Golf Outing at the E. Donald Conroy Golf Course in Babylon. The event included a buffet breakfast by Bagelicious, a glorious day on the green and a luncheon by Don Ricardo's. Golf coordinator was Sean O'Brien. Lowest score winners were Rich and Monica Benavides of Don Ricardo's Restaurant in Babylon. 24 golfers participated in the event.

With 5,500 video gaming machines, plus simulcasting from the nation's leading racetracks, no one provides more variety or entertainment than Empire City.

Golf Outing to be held Sept. 9
      Temple Sinai of Massapequa and Amityville will be holding its Golf Outing and Game day, Tues., Sept. 9 at the Woodlands, 1 Southwoods Rd., Woodbury. Golfers check in and enjoy breakfast at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. At 12:30 p.m. game players check in and have lunch. Games include Mah Jongg, Scrabble, bridge and more.
