April Pergolotti, RN, was recently appointed nurse recruitment and retention specialist for Good Samari­tan Hospital Medical Center, West Islip. In her new role, Pergolotti will be responsible for recruitment and retention of the clinical nursing staff through­out the hospital. The department of nursing at Good Samaritan coordinates and collaborates with other interdisciplinary teams to provide excellent patient care. This commitment is evident with the hospital's positive patient outcomes and high patient satisfac­tion scores.

Pergolotti joined Good Samaritan in 1999 and previously served as the assistant nurse manager at the Bay Shore Dialysis Center. Pergolotti earned her bachelor's degree from Stony Brook University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in health care management. April lives in Babylon with her hus­band and children Madison, 15, and Jessie, nine.
