Let NY travelers take a seat in history

If you travel in and out of the major airports around the country, you know that some cities try to give their terminals a flavor of the area in which they are located. Whether it's in the name, architectural or interior design, there's a lot that can and is being done to make them interesting and reflective of where they are located.

One thing that has caught our eye is the use of the white porch rockers throughout airports in the south, and in New England. If you are fortunate enough to find one that is not being used, you know they are comfortable, but more important, they give the airport a distinct and warm character. We began to think of what New York could do to personalize its major airports. We passed on the idea of selling apples for five-cents and decided putting graffiti on the walls would not be the message we want to send visitors. Then it occurred to us. We are in the midst of the perfect

storm here in New York and can provide New York's airports with a real taste of our area. Why not install some of the seats from Yankee and Shea stadiums in the terminals for everyone to enjoy. They are sure to become popular additions, and while not as comfortable as a New England porch rocker, they are certainly much more rich in history.
