Babylon Village resident Ed Harris earns high school diploma

Ed Harris, a long-time Babylon Vil­lage resident and WWII Veteran who served in the US Coast Guard aboard an LST, carrying British troops to Nor­mandy on D-Day received a standing ovation when he was presented his high school diploma at the 2008 graduation ceremony by Dr. Ellen Best-Laimit, Babylon Superintendent of Schools and Darrell Conway, School Board Presi­dent. Harris is a Babylon High School Wall of Fame Inductee for both base­ball and basketball as a team member of the Suffolk County Section Champions 1940-41.
