On Saturday, July 12 the Board of Trustees and Deer Park Library Director Gail Pepa welcomed New York State Sen. Owen Johnson and Assembly­man Andrew Raia, as well as Babylon Town Super­visor Steve Bellone and Town Clerk Carol Quirk to cut the ceremonial ribbon to inaugurate the Library's new parking lot. In addition, Assemblyman Raia presented the Library with a Certificate of Merit ac­knowledging the Library's service to our community. Without the participation and support of these repre­sentatives in Albany as well as Babylon Town offi­cials, this project would not have come to fruition.

Lastly, Curt Fickeisen, General Manager of Tanger Outlets presented the Library with a check in the amount of $20,000.
