The Long Island Dahlia Society will hold a Dahlia basics class Thurs., Aug. 21, 7 p.m. in the Carriage House at Bayard Cutting Arboretum on Montauk Highway, East Islip. The topic will be staging dahlias for exhibition. All are welcome and the admission is free.
