•Named to the dean's list at Bing­hamton University of the State Uni­versity of New York for the spring are Lisa Chong of Babylon and Sandra Appel of West Babylon.

•A number of local residents have re­ceived merit awards to attend the State University of New York at Oswego. They are Kieran Ames of Lindenhurst, Lukas Ratz of Babylon, Kevin Rieneck­er of West Islip and Adam Trautwig of Deer Park. •Shari M. Gottlieb, of West Babylon, was named to the dean's list at Bing­hamton University of the State Univer­sity of New York, School of Manage­ment. •Eric S. Tyson, of West Islip, was named to the dean's list for the second semester of the academic year at Vir­ginia Military Institute, Lexingoton, Virginia. •The following local residents were named to the dean's list at the Univer­sity of Scranton for the spring semes­ter: Tiffany A. Bettex and Kristina M. Sauerland of West Islip and Matthew S. Gravier of North Babylon.

•Timothy M. Stillwell, of West Bab­ylon, received a bachelor of arts in communication from The University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania. •Caitlyn Ryan, of West Islip, received a bachelor of fine arts degree in general fine arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, Maryland. She is the daughter of Gerry and Peggy Ryan. •Christina DeFrancisco, of West islip, received a certificate in performance from the State University of New York at Potsdam. She also received a Crane certificate of merit for her service to The Crane School of Music. •Colleen Fagan, of Babylon, a student at The State University of New York at Potsdam was re­cently presented membership in the Association for Women in Mathematics and the Mathematics Alumni Award for Excellence in Mathematics.

•The follow­ing residents re­ceived bachelor's degrees from Marist College, Poughkeepsie at the May 18 com­mencement: Lauren Ruth DiMisa, of Deer Park, received a bachelor of arts cum laude in chemistry/adolescence education. Julie Serigano, of West Babylon, received a bachelor of pro­fessional studies cum laude in fashion merchandising. Jessica Galietta Wong, of Deer Park, received a bachelor of science cum laude in business admin­istration/ finance. •Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, Hicksville, has named the following local residents to the "A" honor roll for an average of 90 or more: Jeannine Flo­rio of Babylon; Robert Grieb of Deer Park; Margaret Ayers, Giancarlo Ca­Named sella, Julianne Cicio, Alison LaManna and Cristian Mendoza of Lindenhurst and Breanna Amorde, Tunde Csibi and Brianne Weiss of West Babylon. Named to the "B" honor roll for an av­erage

of 85 or more are Holli Locker of Deer Park; Lauren Giunta and Amanda Guschel of Lindenhurst and Ava Bo­navita of West Babylon.

•Ronnie Van Dover, of North Bab­ylon, a student at Molloy College,. Rockville Centre and Erin Walter, of West Islip, who will study pre-med at Philadelphia University in the fall each received a scholarship from The Coun­cil of Leagues of Mercy Medical Cen­ter. •May graduates of The College of Saint Rose, are the following local residents: Jacquelyn Simms of Baby­lon

received a bachelor of arts degree, Michaelle Notti of Deer Park received a certificate of advanced study, Kevin Sheehan of Lindenhurst received a certificate of advanced study, Kira Grunenberg of West Islip received a bachelor of science and Jarred Haynes of Wyandanch received a bachelor of arts.

•John Proetta, of Islip Terrace, re­ceived the Jessie J. McNall Award at the State University of New York at Potsdam. •Robert Peterson, of East Islip, has received a merit award to attend the State University of New York at Os­wego. •Joseph Wilson, of Central Islip, an eleventh grader at Holy Trinity Di­ocesan High School, Hicksville, was named to the "A" honor roll for his av­erage of over 90 percent.

•At the College of Saint Rose, Al­bany, the following local residents wereawarded. From Bay Shore, Pa­mela Clemens and Danielle Encizo re­ceived bachelors of science and Floyd Anderson received a certificate of ad­vanced study and from Islip, Robert Schwarz received a certificate of ad­vanced study.
