A warm and heavy summer rainfall cooled off the temperatures and brought in a July breeze from the Bay just in time to make the weather for the annual Babylon Village Arts Council Bayfest perfect. Several hundred people attended the event and enjoyed a variety of seafood dishes, music, entertainment and fun.
Babylon families have made this their annual outing. Bob and Pat Pearsall of the Village enjoyed the evening with their daughter, son-in-law, Sandra and Aaron Don and granddaughter Katelyn. "It's aways a great event," said Bob. Young volunteers, Jack Beier, Connor Mirabal, Andrew Capone and Brandon Tyrie helped to keep everything moving along nicely. Public officials were out as well. Babylonians, S.C. Leg. Wayne Horsley and Babylon Town Councilman Lindsay Henry, with his wife and his daughters in tow, took time to say hello and talk to friends and neighbors. Babylon Village Trustees, Debbie Basile, Tony Davida, Kevin Muldowney and Alice Vanderveldt, who rode to the event on bike with her husband, were also on hand.
