The West Babylon Senior High School's Financial Literacy Program earned the coveted designation of Blue Star School for the students' exceptional performance on the 2007-2008 Financial Literacy Certification Test. Only 52 schools throughout Long Island and New York City achieved this feat which requires that 75% of students at a given grade level pass the exam.

This is West Babylon High School's second rec­ognition. In addition to the hard work by the high school students, teachers Scott Snyder, Mary Beth Loverso, and Kevin Taylor should be commended for their efforts.
