THE TRADITION LIVES ON. And the annual Babylon Busy Women luncheon attracted large num­ber of applicants from Babylon High school for the scholarship for a Babylon High School senior. The decision was difficult - there are so many deserving students, but in the end the decisi9on was unanimous, and everyone agreed on the winners of the college scholarship. The party was held at Southward Ho last Friday with a large crowd attending. The girls spoke of their pride as winners with their mothers beside them. It was a very important day for all concerned. It was nice to see so many friends - Vi Batty left her Key West home for the summer months - she'll be spending them here with her Babylon friends and family. The club was beautifully decorated for the happy occasion, and everyone is looking forward to another year of get togethers starting in September with out new president, Claire Meirowitz and many thanks to outgoing President Elizabeth Karoly for four years of hard work.

A VERY PROUD GRANDMA. Yes, Katharine Fallon is a very proud grandmother these days. Her granddaughter Katharine has graduated from the Bos­ton College of Nursing with honors and her grandson Alex has graduated from Huntington High School. So the Fallons are happy campers these days. Con­gratulations to all of these talented people.

IT WAS EVEN BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUNDF. Yes, a group of Babylon gals traveled by bus into the city to see a performance of South pa­cific at Lincoln Center last week, and all praised the performance - even said it was better than the origi­nal (saw it in New York - New Yorkers said it was very hot) but they didn't even mind that.) Enjoying the trip were: Mary Ellen Sulli9vvan, Lucy Trumble, Libby Orr, Fran Pasch and Alice Costello.

FAMILY REUNIONS ARE SUCH FUN. And the Vanderveldts, Blake and Michelle and Joan and Joe will all be together with nieces, cousins, friends and more. All aboard everyone - can't wait to see all of these friends and family from California this week­end.
