Little East Neck Road needs a little attention

      A section of sidewalk along Little East Neck Road needs a little attention. The area is on the west side of the road, from Pratt Avenue, north of the West Babylon Middle School. It is broken up in parts, and entirely non existent in others, and should be redone completely.

West Islip School board needs to move forward, working together for students

      Dear Editor: Another Budget and Board Election Vote has run its course. What have we learned, and what are we prepared to accomplish going forward? In West Islip, approximately 17 percent of the public voted on the Budget and 15 percent voted for Board candidates. Is it a mandate for apathy, the status quo, or continued renewal?

      Dear Editor: When choosing to move forward on the plan to light the athletic fields, did the school district take into consideration the residents and their homes that are adjacent to the field? What is the plan - to light the field two, three, four or more times a season?

Looking forward to summer in Babylon Village
      Dear Editor: Once again it's time to swim at the Babylon Village Pool. Last year, I was very impressed with the staff, who kept the whole area very clean. The season was pure pleasure. I also notice a calm family atmosphere. I must give a thank you to Trustee Anthony Davida for making the Babylon Pool a place to go to relax and swim in a clean environment.
