West Islip School Board to hold reorganization meet

The West Islip Board of Education will meet Tues., July 8, to reorganize for the new school year. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the high school. This session will immediately be followed by a regularly scheduled board meeting.

During these two meetings, the 2008-09 school board will install re-elected incumbent Sharon Bieselin to an additional three-year term. Bieselin, who currently sits on the Buildings & Grounds, Audit, and Public Relations committees, has been the liaison to special education and the High School Student Senate, and serves on the Health & Wellness Alliance, has won election to her third consecutive term. Also being installed as a Trustee is newcomer Robert Ulrich, who won election on May 20.

Additional business at the reorganizational meeting is the election of board president and vice president.
