Excited about Reading at JFK Book Fair

2008-05-29 / Schools/Sports

Students at John F. Kennedy Intermediate School in Deer Park learned the value of a dollar and gained apprecia- tion for a good book during a recent school-wide book fair. Shelves of books covering various genres, reading levels and interests filled the gym. With money in hand, students excitedly browsed through the selection, seeking out their most desired author or topic for purchase. The book fair attracted families from throughout Deer Park. A laser light show was even held during the evening session. The JFK PTA and parent volunteers contributed significantly to the event's success.
